SOAR is proud to welcome the Ashland Gallery Association!

Ashland Gallery AssociationThe Southern Oregon Artists Resource is proud to include the Ashland Gallery Association in the Ashland Galleries section. Please visit their listing for all their contact information and web links.

The Ashland Gallery Association is a collection of over thirty galleries and dozens of artists, offering remarkably diverse and high quality works of art. Ashland has been designated as one of the “Best Small Arts Towns in America”, and while its most famous arts organization is the award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival, you really haven’t seen Ashland until you’ve seen the Ashland Galleries.

The AGA hosts an evening art walk on the first Friday of each month, providing opportunities to meet the artists, view demonstrations, and enjoy traditional and innovative works of art in a gallery atmosphere, often including music and refreshments. An Ashland First Friday is an eclectic mix of visual delights, interesting conversations, intimate music and tasty treats. The collage of image and experience grows as you stroll the galleries in the Historical Downtown and Railroad Districts. Join us for the next Art Walk on the upcoming First Friday from 5 to 8 pm.

A Taste of Ashland 2011

Treasure Hunt is a February First Friday event during which the public searches for items hidden in the art at participating galleries with a chance to win prizes.  Runs throughout the month.

Our Student Art Exhibit is a First Friday event, usually in March, in which galleries exhibit local student artwork.

A Taste of Ashland

Each year, during the last weekend in April, the AGA sponsors a unique annual wine, food and art festival, featuring the finest edibles, beverages and art our region has to offer.

A Taste of Ashland Gala, a party with refreshments and an artists’ “quick-draw” event in which art is created and auctioned the same evening.

AGA also publishes an annual Gallery Guide which can be acquired at any AGA gallery, the Ashland or Medford Chambers of Commerce or any of nine Welcome Centers throughout the state. The guide, including maps, photos and gallery descriptions, is a keepsake for visitors and patrons for future reference.
