Silvia Trujillo Featured Artist at Art & Soul Gallery!
Land of My Heart exhibit on display through August
First Friday reception August 2, 2019
Tonight is the reception for my featured artist show at the Art & Soul Gallery in Ashland. If you’re in the area, I would love for you to stop by and say hello. There are large new works, as well as smaller plein air studies completed this year. I’m thrilled to have this display of everything in one place! If you can’t make it tonight, the show will be up for the month of August, so stop by when you can.
For those of you who are out of the area, several of these works are concurrently available in my eBay store. Depending on what sells during the show, work that isn’t spoken for will be listed on eBay, and can be shipped directly to you with a 100% money back guarantee (if for any reason you’re not completely satisfied). I realize that acquiring art online is not ideal. However, more and more this is the way that most collectors are bringing my art into their homes or are giving it as gifts for special occasions.
More about Silvia’s Exhibit
“Land of My Heart” is one artist’s discovery of homeland. To Silvia Trujillo, it’s a place that is both physical and spiritual, a connection found in land, sky, water and light. In masterful impressionistic style rendered in oils, Trujillo captures scenes from across Southern Oregon and Northern California that are both familiar and otherworldly, scenes that help us examine our own concept of “home.”
Silvia Trujillo, a recipient of a 2019 Haines & Friends grant lives, breaths and sleeps art. As a painting and art instructor for over 25 years, she takes great joy in fostering expert work in new and established artists.
“It’s my goal to honor land, water, and sky in my paintings and to create a need for preserving an area’s natural beauty.” – Silvia Trujillo
First Friday Reception: August 2 from 5 – 8 pm with Music by Doug Ross
Douglass Ross is a Rogue Valley native, with an original approach to a folk instrument common in the southeastern United States, the dulcimer.
