  • “Fall Fantasy” Themed Art by Gallery Artists

Image of painting by Janus Innes During September, Art du Jour Gallery is honored to continue our exhibit of the work of special guest artist Janus Innes in our Salon.  Janus’s innovative paintings merge abstract with realism to create unique and exciting images.  She achieves her sparkling and sometimes haunting images with crackle paste, an acrylic compound that yields a highly textured surface into which she adds paint and often other materials to lend mystery and special beauty to the ultimate image.
Before moving to the Rogue Valley in 2013, Janus belonged to several prestigious art guilds in Texas and Arizona.  She took classes during those years and learned various texturing methods; then she took it from there on her own, innovating and developing the unique methodology, style and mystery viewers find so appealing in her artwork today.  She has shown in Texas, Arizona, Oregon and other states and won Best In Show in a Texas art show competition.
Art du Jour invites you to visit the gallery’s Salon and discover the haunting images that arise as you let your imagination wander through Janus’s compelling paintings.  Join us on Friday, September 16th, from 5 to 8 p.m. to meet the artist as we honor Janus Innes with a special Third Friday evening reception.
