Rogue Gallery & Art Center February-March Exhibits, Reception Friday, Feb 21

Rogue Gallery & Art Center will have a reception Friday, February 21st from 5 – 8pm for two exhibits; the Main Gallery exhibit: The Rogue Community College Art Department Faculty Exhibition and the Community Gallery exhibit: Celestial Horses by artist Yeh Fei Pai. The reception is open to the public.

February 21 – March 21, 2014, Reception: Friday 21, 5 – 8 pm

The Rogue Gallery displays the talents of the Rogue Community College art instructors. Works includes oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, mixed media, ink drawings, works in porcelain, and ceramic sculptures. Featuring artists are Carl Seyboldt, Dana Bussell, Galina Milton, Irene Kai, Janet E. Higgins, Jennifer Eufusia, Karl Brake, Marilyn Michele Kunkel, Pat Enos, Phil Fishwick, Tommi Drake, and Walter Peterson. Executive director Kim Hearon says “The art of the Rogue Community College art faculty department gives the viewer an insight to the diverse artistic expressions of these instructors.”

In collaboration with the Southern Oregon Chinese Cultural Association in celebration of the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Horse, the Rogue Gallery displays the paintings of artist Chinese artist Yeh Fei Pai from February 7 – February

28, 2014. Yeh Fei Pai uses the traditional technique of Chinese splash ink. His quick, expressive approach of applying ink creates images of horses in complete motion. Yeh Fei Pai’s paintings will delight and engage audiences of all ages. “The Rogue Gallery is very excited to have Yeh Fei Pai exhibiting in our gallery. His paintings are full of life, energy, and beauty,” says executive director Kim Hearon.

The Rogue Gallery & Art Center is a non-profit community art center, founded in 1960 to promote and support the arts in the Rogue Valley. The center exhibits a wide range of artistic styles and mediums from local and national artists. Programming includes art educational opportunities for children and adults.
