Art du Jour Gallery will showcase the work of two well known Rogue Valley artists through the month of November. A reception for them will be held on Third Friday, November 15, from 5 to 8 p.m., 213 E. Main, Medford, across from Vogel Park.
Ruth Heath, a founding member of the Art du Jour Gallery, will show her artwork in the exhibit “Far Away Places”. Heath’s use of watercolors, pastels, mixed media paintings and photographs demonstrate her versatility and mastery of these various mediums. Street scenes, cottages, doorways, windows and walkways show you glimpses from Europe, Israel and China. Heath says, “Small villages with cottages, castles, gardens and wonderful views are appealing to me.” Her painting “La Canette House” is a view of a French duplex with pink roses growing across the building. The painting “He Has Risen” was inspired by a trip to Israel.
Guest Artist Daniel Verner will show his representational narrative paintings in the Salon. Most of his paintings tell a story through the use of the human figure and with symbolism. He considers art to be “…a wonderful interaction, a lively dance ever changing.” Enjoy speaking to him about his art.
