Local Retail Opportunity for Jewelry Artists!

We have been asked to put out a call for jewelry artists working with stones set in silver. This request comes from an established local retail shop with a new owner who seeks a local jewelry artist with whom she can establish a long-term relationship and feature prominently in her store. The shop has a great downtown location with high visibility. Apologies for sounding vague about the location, but the shop’s owner asked us to receive all inquiries and forward them to her so she keep this as confidential as possible for now.

She hopes for an arrangement where she can purchase your jewelry at a wholesale price rather than on consignment. Current bestsellers are bracelets made with natural stone beads and silver findings at a $20-25 price point, and silver jewelry set with natural stones with a price point from $40-60. After operating her new shop for a short time, she’s already found that turquoise jewelry is very popular, so artisan jewelers with pieces made from this beautiful stone will find it’s a plus. She does sell some more expensive pieces as well ~ one of her higher priced sales in this brief period was a pendant of turquoise & amber set in sterling priced at approximately $85. The owner is a previously established business owner and well-connected in the business community ~ she will make every effort to promote your work.

We feel this will be a terrific arrangement for the artist whose work wins this new shop owner’s favor! To submit yours for her consideration, please call 541.899.2012 or email [email protected] with “Jewelry Call” in the subject line and include a link to your website, blog or other online presence (such as Etsy) where examples of your work can be seen and a phone number where she can contact you to discuss it further. If you don’t have an online presence, please attach 5 images of your work for her to see. If everything we’ve laid out here doesn’t sound perfect, please go ahead and respond – you never know what can be worked out!

Fans of the arts and visual artists, please forward this call to any jewelry artists you know whose work you feel deserves consideration!
