THE STUDIOS AT MASS MoCA FELLOWSHIP FOR OREGON VISUAL ARTISTS

The Studios at MASS MoCA is the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts’ artist residency program at the largest contemporary arts center in the US. We are currently accepting applications for our Summer/Fall 2021 residency season.

Thanks to a partnership with The Ford Family Foundation, we will be offering a fully-funded 2- or 4-week residencies to two visual artists who have resided in Oregon for at least 3 years. As part of this award, fellows will receive:

  • A travel stipend and all residency fees waived
  • Private, furnished studio space at MASS MoCA, available 24/7
  • Housing in newly renovated, shared apartments directly across the street from the museum.
  • One communal meal per day in the company of fellow artists-in-residence.
  • MASS MoCA member benefits for the duration of the residency, including free access to the museum’s galleries, The Clark, and discounts on performing arts events and museum store purchases.
  • Access to basic printmaking presses and two weaving looms.
  • An optional one-on-one artist-focused financial and business coaching session with the Assets for Artists staff.
