Upcoming in February 2019:

Art du Jour Gallery, 213 E. Main Street in Medford will be exhibiting the fine art paintings of Carl Seybodt as guest artist in the Salon through February and March, while AdJ member Roy Musitelli will be featured artist. (

Guest Artist Carl Seyboldt

Carl Seyboldt is one of those people who knows that, while nothing is easy, and nothing is free, nothing is impossible either.  A free-lance illustrator, fine artist and adjunct professor at Rogue Community College.  Carl both teaches and uses what he learned at Art Center, now in Pasadena, California and through his life experiences to fashion not just his own profession, but to help students plan theirs as well. He strives always to keep current on the cutting edge of the field.

Carl specializes in painting and drawing wildlife, western scenes and historical subject matter.  He has completed a series of limited edition prints of the famous Wells Fargo Stagecoach line.  He has received a number of awards, including the Sid Burns Artist Award several times.  He has worked as a professional illustrator as well as an illustrator during his career in the Army.  Carl and his wife Sharon of 48 years live on a 21-acre ranch near Eagle Point, Oregon.

Featured Artist Roy Musitelli

After spending most of his adult life documenting life through the lens of a camera as a newspaper photographer, Roy Musitelli returned to school where he rediscovered his passion for drawing.  One of his first courses at Rogue Community College was a basic drawing class taught by Carl Seyboldt, who’s influence led him to enroll in several more of his classes while pursuing a graphic design degree. ” I knew right away that graphic design wasn’t really my thing”, he writes. “Carl helped me see that illustration is where my heart had been leading me all along and that there was plenty yet to be learned. It’s a profound honor to be sharing this exhibit space with someone who I deeply respect.”

A member of AdJ since 2016, Roy’s foundation in journalism keeps him in touch with the news of our day which is often reflected in his artwork. In an effort to shed the photographer-turned-artist label for at least one month, Roy’s featured wall exhibit will be dedicated entirely to illustrations that have come from his drawing board of ideas.
