Debbie Orr Bio:
Having lived in NY, I am very familiar with many museums and galleries and major artist.
I Studied art at the Art Students League, and I have a degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Not only did I study the technology of how textiles are made and printed, but I studied art history, design, color theory, various painting techniques and styles that included the use of oil paint, watercolor, gouache, chalk, pencil, screen printing, etc. My two majors were weaving and screen printing.
I deeply appreciate all periods and styles of art and what color and imagination can manifest. Currently, my focus is on botanical illustration. I am a member of the American Society of Botanical Artist.
