June 30, 2015 – STRANGE FIGURATIONS SURREAL AND VISIONARY ART
A thematic exhibition open to all interpretations of the concept, Strange Figurations. Open to all media, techniques and styles from the realist to the surreal and visionary. June 30, 2015 – PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION CALL FOR ENTRIES LIFE AFTER DARK
With night-time photography, techniques can be used to make electric shots full of atmosphere, life and colour. Shooting at night allows us to capture images that the human eye simply cannot detect in low-light conditions. It quite literally helps us to see the world in a whole new light. June 30, 2015 – ONLINE JURIED ART COMPETITION
All artists are invited to enter our 11th annual competition. Cash awards totaling $4,500. Awards Judge: Charles Long, Professor of Art at the University of California, Riverside. July 1, 2015 – CALL TO PLAYWRIGHTS FOR NEW PLAY COMPETITION
The Alleyway Theater (Buffalo, NY) seeks full-length and One-Act entries to The Maxim Mazumdar New Play Competition. Open to anyone; any age or citizenship, but limited to one submission per category per year. Although an entry may be of any style, preference will be given to those scripts which are uniquely theatrical. Winning plays will be produced. Entry fee. July 1, 2015 – CALL TO ARTISTS FOR TOY CAMERA FESTIVAL
The Nave Gallery seeks Images of any subject matter made with a “toy” camera – any low-end, low-tech, limited-control camera such as pinhole, Holga, Diana and other Lomo products, as well as Brownies and Anscos – will be accepted. Images made from Polaroid-type film backs attached to Holgas are also welcome. Images made from a DSLR or SLR with a pinhole or Holga lens will be accepted. Entry Fee. July 3, 2015 – CALL TO GLASS ARTISTS FOR JURIED EXHIBITION
Bascom: A Center for Visual Arts seeks submissions for juried exhibition showcasing art glass produced by America’s most skilled and visionary craftspeople. Any type of glass art is eligible as long as the primary medium is glass, and artists ages 18 and over who are living and working in the United States are eligible to enter. $5,500 will be awarded. Administered by The Seattle Art Museum, The Betty Bowen award honors a Northwest artist (WA, OR, ID) for their original, exceptional, and compelling work. Twice each year Black Lawrence Press will run this competition for an unpublished chapbook of poems or short fiction between 16-36 pages in length. The Proify International Photography Awards is an annual competition dedicated to emerging photographers all over the world.
