What

The Great Homeless Yard Art first annual auction is one of the Rogue Valley’s most unique benefit auctions of the year. Local craftsman, artists, tinkerers, makers and whatever you call yourself are asked to make a piece or two of yard art to be donated and auctioned off. Proceeds from the multi-day event will go towards fighting homelessness in our community. Your donation of time, talent and art is a one-of-a-kind resource for our community and is greatly appreciated. The art pieces will be cherished by the auction winners and the proceeds will help in the battle against homelessness. Thank You

Why

Contest Objective: Raising money for homeless programs in our community, helping to establish and display outdoor art, and to bring joy to those who see the pieces.

When

Art pieces are to be finished and photographed by August 25, Delivered to Grants Pass by Sept 10, Auction will be Sept 20. Preview days, Sept 19 and 20 Auction / sales day Sept 20

Auction and preview location is 1144 SW Lee Lane GP

Guidelines

Copyright:

By donating (entering this competition) a piece of art, the artist (donor) gives up all copyrights to their piece. No piece donated shall infringe upon a copyright of another person or entity. By donating a piece, we are granted a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of the piece for our usage.

Prizes:

  • Best of show
  • 2nd place winner
  • 3rd place winner
  • Artists Choice Best of Show

Judging Criteria:

Extra value will be placed on

  • whimsical nature of piece
  • recycled / reused nature of materials
  • 80 words or less description of piece
  • artist
  • materials used

Artists Thank You:

Please come to the Evening BBQ for the Artists on Sept 19, 2020. You will be voting on the “Artist’s Choice Best of Show.” Please invite family and friends to the viewing.

Delivery:

Pieces need to be delivered on the following days Sept 9 thru 15. Please contact us for exact time.
