The Women Environmental Artists Directory (WEAD) is sponsoring a second competition to commission an award for Wells Fargo’s Green Teams. Wells Fargo’s Social Responsibility group’s Environmental Affairs team wishes to award the equivalent of the Stanley Cup for green initiatives around the company. The award would be given quarterly to one of 45 Green Teams across the country, comprised of Well Fargo employees.

Honolulu Authority Rapid Transportation: Art-in-Transit Call For Artists

The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) is seeking professional artists or artist teams to submit qualifications for evaluation to be selected for inclusion into HART’s PreQualifed Artist Registry for Honolulu Rail Transit Project’s Art-In-Transit Program. HART anticipates there will be approximately 23 to 25 Art Opportunities for the 21 stations and the Maintenance and Storage Facility-Operations and Service Building.

The estimated budget for the design, fabrication and installation of artwork at each station or facility is anticipated to range from $125,000 to $450,000, which includes but is not limited to costs related to the artist’s design and project management fees, artwork fabrication, transportation, delivery and installation of the artwork, subcontractor, including engineers or architects, subcontracted laborers, project documentation, insurance, and all other costs associated with the art project.

PRE-SUBMITTAL WORKSHOP: A Pre-Submittal Workshop to respond to questions from persons interested in submitting applications will be held on 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. HST on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART), Ali’i Place, 1099 Alakea Street, Suite 150, Honolulu, Hawai’i 96813. All interested applicants are encouraged to attend; however, attendance is not mandatory. Advance questions are encouraged and may be emailed to: [email protected] Additional questions may be addressed during the Pre-Submittal Workshop; however, any information provided will be considered unofficial until issued in writing via addenda. Addenda will be posted subsequently on the City and County of Honolulu’s Purchasing website: Applicants are highly encouraged to check the website frequently for any addenda to the “Call for Artists” as applicants will not be notified of addenda on an individual basis. Only artists ! selected to be on the Pre-Qualified Artist Registry will receive any post-selection addenda. All addenda will be in writing from HART.

Applicant Artists must affirmatively certify, in writing, that they are eighteen (18) years or older and the materials submitted are authentic representations of their work.
