People’s Choice Award for Best Gallery – 2012 A Taste of Ashland

Lower Duck Pond in Lithia Park

Fall is a time of change. After another beautiful summer in Southern Oregon it’s time to move back inside, into our homes to prepare for winter and the coming new year, surrounded by walls and the things that adorn them. Fall is also a time of change at Bohemia. The Gallery’s time has come to an end (sort of). Tomorrow will be our final First Friday in Ashland’s Historic Railroad District. It’s been a fun ride but after almost two years, it’s time to move on (more info below).

In the meantime, we’ve got a variety of amazing artwork on display, much of it on sale!

Clifford Wilton got his start with oil painting in the 60’s in San Francisco and has been cultivating his work ever since. Predominantly working with oil on board, his recent work sees a departure from lush figurative abstracts to simpler graphic compositions of urban skyscapes. Mostly monochromatic, these paintings add a new dimension to a familiar, yet mostly ignored landscape. Though he hasn’t completely departed from the figurative realm; we have a few unique master works challenging the mind’s eye to blink.
