“Birds, Beasts and Beauty”- Biblical Fine Art exhibit comes to Ashland

gathering masterpiece christian fine arts On July 25th “Birds, Beasts and Beauty-the Genesis to Revelation Alliance with Animals” fine art traveling exhibit opens at Pioneer Hall at Lithia Park in Ashland.    This 45 piece exhibit will transform Pioneer Hall into a fine art gallery where the works of 15 contemporary artists from across the U.S. combine efforts with historic masters for an intriguing fine art journey with the animals throughout the Biblical narratives.   From Genesis to Revelation guests can witness their magnificence and their prominence throughout the Bible including depictions of Eve and the Serpent, Noah and the animals of the Ark, Angeli Giuseppe’s “Elijah Taken up by a Chariot of Fire” , “Peter’s Denial with the Cock Crowing”, Caravaggio’s “Conversion of the Saul”,  “Jonah and the Whale”, “The Lost Sheep” and more.

The show includes works by nationally acclaimed artists Ron DiCianni (the 40 foot Resurrection Mural), Michael Dudash, Chris Hopkins, Frank Ordaz, Tom duBois, Mick McGinty, with giclees reproductions of pertinent historical pieces and more.  Works by Local artist Sandy Cathcart, Sheri Dinardi and Beth Rodriguez will also are also featured in the Southern Oregon exhibit.  Most original works are available for sale and proceeds support the traveling show sponsored Masterpiece Christian Fine Arts, the Oregon based nonprofit foundation.
The ‘Birds, Beasts and Beauty” exhibit is on a six city tour and has exhibited in Fort Worth Texas,  Sedona, Arizona, and San Diego where over 7,000 visitors have toured the show . Continued stops are planned in Ashland, San Francisco and Portland, Oregon this fall.

Masterpiece Christian Fine Arts is based in Ashland, Oregon and is the passion of longtime area resident Jeanne Randall who is the President and founder of the organization. The organization sponsors the development and display of Biblically themed art exhibits, and offers artist conferences and workshops in Ashland each year.   The exhibit is free to the public and opens Thursday, July 25th with a ticketed gala event, then open daily Friday through Sunday from 10am to 8pm and Monday until 5pm.  Special events will also include a ladies Art & Tea Affair on Friday @ 11:00 and 3:00 (tickets online), Blessing of the Animals on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (bring your pet) and Sunday Family Picnic Day in the park & visit the art.  Guided tours available at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm daily.  Live music each evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
