Attention Fiber, Quilting, Beading and Needleworking Artists: Call to Artists from the 2011 African Folklore Embroidery Challenge

Calling all quilters, fiber, embroidery and beading enthusiasts –

Entry forms for the 2011 African Folklore Embroidery Challenge are now online at THE GRAND PRIZE is $500 cash, 2nd prize $50 and 3rd prize $25.00. All entrants will receive certificate of participation and be considered for inclusion in a new book. All entries will be on display at the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach, July 29th – 31st @ the African Folklore Embroidery Booth, Long Beach Convention Center, California and at the American Sewing Guild Conference in Los Angeles, CA Aug 19th-21st 2011.

The deadline for entries is July 15th 2011
Last year’s 1st place winner was Madeline Reyes from the Coachella Valley Quilt guild.
EGA members Judy Dymond and Carol Cunnignham -Hutte from the Mountain View EGA Chapter in California won 2nd and 3rd place in 2010.
