Houses, original painting by David Gordon

Houses, original painting by David Gordon

New at Liquid Assets this month is painter and website designer David Gordon. His medium is simple; paint and canvas, his aesthetic; colorful and unconventional. David grew up in a highly creative household and spent his free time making art and exploring the forest behind his house.
Houses have become prevalent in his artwork since attending art school. As symbols of comfort and security, David plays with the juxtaposition of houses in many elemental backgrounds and many states of existence. His melting houses suggest a state of impermanence reflected in the subtle fluidity of nature. He contrasts these abstract images with bright, patient colors that evoke the power of the natural elements. His paintings have appeared in magazines, TV shows, and Newspapers and are collected worldwide.

Dale Muir, Ashland Art Center

Dale is known for her amazing assemblage pieces which give personality and expression to everyday found objects. Her pieces are part 3D collage and part sculpture. They celebrate the character of individual materials by bringing them together in a work of art that shows them in a new and beautiful light. Come see Dale’s fun and inspiring work in her studio upstairs.
Live music will be performed by Rainy & the Rattlesnakes, a lively family bluegrass band.
As always visitors will find galleries, open studios, art, and artists on all three floors of the Art Center.
