Art & Soul Ashland
Alice Niemiec: View from Ashland
Currently featured at Art & Soul Ashland are paintings by Alice Niemiec. Utilizing
watercolors and oils, Alice draws inspiration from the varying landscapes and nature that
are found in Ashland. In addition to exhibiting her paintings across the country, Alice has
cofounded The Artist Guild of Detroit, a guild and gallery funded by General Motors that
promotes young artists in the area.

Fiber Arts Collective
Mixed Media Work by Limei Lai
This month’s exhibition at Fiber Arts Collective includes mixed media work by Limei Lai.
Working with paint, fabric, and clay, Limei seeks to build community through oral
storytelling, specifically stories about intergenerational immigrant women. Her themes
depict fear and love of life in the Pacific Northwest while highlighting both togetherness
and inclusion. Limei believes that art not only critiques, questions, and reflects, but also
celebrates and changes people for the better.

Ashland Art Works
Elin Babcock and Marydee Bombick
Currently featured at Ashland Art Works are sculptures by Elin Babcock and ceramics by
Marydee Bombick. With a sincere interest in repurposing, Elin intuitively selects objects
with a unique expression and skillfully assembles them into a unified, balanced, and
intelligent whole. Alternatively, Marydee works with clay to create objects that are both
functional and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Constantly exploring various techniques
and glazes, her work has continued to evolve over the years.

First Friday Art Walk at the Gallery
This month’s exhibition at Siskiyou Gallery House features everything from watercolors by
Douglas Racich, to acrylics by Moira Racich, silk scarves by Joy Light, illustrations by Jimmy
Linenberger, and more. In addition to live music taking place throughout the evening, there
will also be light snacks and refreshments.
