Artists Workshop 32nd Annual Show & Sale
Art Presence Art Center is delighted to host the Artists Workshop 32nd Annual Show & Sale in August 2016. The Artist’s Workshop is a Jacksonville-based group of artists who paint together en plein air during fair weather and in the studio during winter months. Each year the group presents the best work of their artists at their annual show and sale.
The Artists Workshop 32nd Annual Show & Sale opens August 5, 2016 and continues through August 28. Art Presence Art Center’s gallery will be open for you to view the exhibition from 11am–5pm every Friday through Sunday…four weekends of fine art to enjoy and select for your own home or office! This year’s show includes works by many strong artists who are seasoned professionals, some who have been painting for forty years.
Poster credits
For each year’s show, the group votes to choose the painting that will grace their promotional poster. This year’s winning painting is “Rogue River,” a contemporary landscape in oil by Laura Kolding. Paintings by long time members Steve Bennett, Kim Faucher, and Sue Bennett placed second and third. Artists Workshop members regard these as the best paintings created by the group during 2016, so come to the gallery and see them all!
Reception
Art Presence and the Artists Workshop invite you to a festive reception for the artists on Saturday, August 6 from 3–6pm. This is always a great time to discuss their work with the artists and to meet artists whom you do not yet know. We hope you will join us to celebrate this year’s fine art and the artists who create it!
