Artist Silvia Trujillo Seeks Living Accommodations

After a productive hiatus in new Mexico, respected plein air artist Silvia Trujillo and her husband have returned to southern Oregon and are now looking for living accommodations.

After three and a half months in the Southwest it sure feels good to be back in Oregon. Some folks adore the desert, but I found out quickly that it’s a nice place for me to visit but not a place for me to live.

We welcome Silvia and her husband home! They are open as far as the area but would prefer a rural place – something in the Applegate Valley would be ideal. They are flexible as to the type of arrangements, too: they have excellent credit and references and would be happy to rent a place on a long-term basis, but are also willing to house sit or to rent a place that’s for sale.

If anyone has a lead she can pursue, please email [email protected] or [email protected] Let’s give Silvia a warm Welcome Home and help one of southern Oregon’s artist treasures find a place to settle back in! Thanks!

Silvia Trujillo and watercolorist Elaine Frenett are presenting a plein air painting workshop, Applegate ON SITE! ~ two workshops, two sites & two instructors!

Silvia Trujillo (yes, she’s back!), oil & acrylics, and Elaine Frenett, watercolor, will lead these two classes. Both Silvia and Elaine have over 40 yrs. combined professional/teaching experience as Oregon/California artists and delight in sharing along the creative path. Paint the picturesque “Lavender Fields Forever” farm, with lavender at it’s brilliant peak and then, the rolling hills with the dazzling vistas of Valley View Winery. Each session will guide you gently through an outdoor painting intro, separate demos by each instructor in their media and then, ample time for individuals to develop their own unique paintings. A friendly share will close the gathering. There are optional and additional lavender distillation, vintage car viewing and wine sampling possibilities for you too. Won’t you come celebrate summer in the Applegate Valley with us?
