This show will open on August 6 and run through September 30, 2013

What appear to be lines of colored ink and brush strokes of paint are in fact cotton and silk thread embroidery by Kay Khan. Vessels, three dimensional figurative pieces, wall hangings and apparel are all basic forms that become the starting point for imaginative and obsessive embroidered fine art.

The Davis and Cline Gallery is located at the corner of Fourth and A Streets in the Historic Railroad District in Ashland, Oregon. The Gallery represents and exhibits contemporary artwork that is distinguished by innovative use of media and singular artistic vision. We represent a broad range of artwork from artists primarily from the major West Coast centers of art including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.

The Gallery contains three exhibition areas with rotating shows in two and a specific media focused exhibition in the other. Exhibitions are listed on the Shows section of the website and generally last six weeks to two months depending on the season and the artist.

“This show represents a gathering of images that illustrate my passion for emotional expressing through color. My images evolve from a desire to experiment with color while allowing the laters to develop freely on their own with no previous background drawings being used.
I wish to share my journey with the hope that you enjoy as much as I enjoyed creating it.”

Music by Douglas Ross on the Dulcimer.

This show will be displayed through August. As Matthew took private drawing lessons and his love for pencil art flourished. After about a year, he started to develop the skills that were taught to him and incorporated them into his own drawing style. It has been Matthew’s goal to affect the world of art by picking a variety of subjects (ranging from nature to people, from renaissance to pop culture), each will hopefully catch someone’s attention and cause them to stop and think about God, who created it first.

Enoteca will also be sampling local artisan, Mocha Mudd-Chocolate Java Sauce and Tasting Fabulous EdenVale wine!

Enoteca offers a daily flight of 6 tastes for just $10, & glass pours with a bistro menu of lighter fare to pair with your selection. Our Happy Hour is 3-5pm daily, during which time you can enjoy glass pours and snack. Best of all, summer is Friday Flight Night! Every Friday, Enoteca arranges a special themed flight or plays host to a guest winery, brewery, or local artisan as you sample their product and listen to live music by a local or touring musician.

Darcie Sternenberg is a fine art black and white photographer living in southern Oregon. She focuses on intimate landscapes, including forests and seascapes, but she also photographs forgotten or left behind objects.
In a world full of beautiful colors, photography, in the absence of color, is a departure from reality.
She uses tone and form to capture a sense of timelessness as well as invite the viewer to a quiet, contemplative place.

Located at the Ashland Art Center, the Photographers’ Gallery is the only one of its kind between Portland and San Francisco. The gallery features work by eleven photographers ranging from nationally recognized to emerging artists. A wide variety of styles are represented including: black & white, landscape, street, travel and abstract photography.
