The past four weeks my mom and I have been teaching African Folklore Embroidery to children at the Summer Art Academy. This is the sixth year that I am teaching there and our end of session performance with the children wearing their completed African Folklore Embroidery Designs and singing African Songs was amazing. The Daily News came to take photographs and interview the children and the article will be in the newspaper Friday July 29th 2011.Classes for children and adults are being offered all summer and once fall beings we teach African Folklore Embroidery Enrichment programs at schools.
