A Welcoming Light at the SO Guild

Our summer Guild Member Art Exhibit, A Welcoming Light, opened with a free reception open to the public on Sunday, July 30 at the Guild Gallery & Art Center. Guild Members made short presentations about their artwork in the show related to our theme! Art enthusiasts enjoyed live Jazz music from Terry D. Davis. Join us for the next reception! The Guild Gallery & Art Center is located in the historic Kerby Belt Building at 24353 Redwood Highway Kerby, OR 97531 and is open to the public Tuesdays – Saturdays 11am-5pm.

Summer Paint & Sip with Pure Life Designs
Friday August 4 • 4-7pm at the Guild Gallery
Come unplug and explore your creative side with Ashley Mendes of Pure Life Designs for a SPRING PAINT & SIP EVENT on Friday August 4 from 4-7pm at the Southern Oregon Guild Gallery & Art Center in Kerby, OR. During this 3-hour relaxed painting session, Ashley will lead everyone through recreating one main picture of choice that you can add your own flair to. This event is great fun regardless of your skill level as no prior art experience is required. Your $50 ticket includes all the paint, supplies and focused instruction needed to create your own masterpiece, as well as snacks and your first glass of local wine provided by the Guild. Additional glasses are available at cost. Sign up to attend with friends or create new ones! Space is limited, so reserve your spot today. Offline payments are accepted! Ashley Mendes is an artist in southern Oregon who has had a passion for art and expression her whole life. She began Pure Life Designs to share her passion with others. Color Theory II with Kristen O’Neill
Saturday Aug 5 • 1-4pm at the Guild Gallery
Are you looking to take your use of COLOR to the next level? Perhaps you took a beginner class and are looking to advance? We invite you to join us on Saturday August 5 from 1-4pm for Intermediate/Advanced Color Theory II, led by professional local artist Kristen O’Neill, where you’ll walk away feeling empowered by color and confident in creating harmony within your paintings! During this 3-hour workshop, you’ll work on creating a variety of color schemes (primary, secondary, tertiary, analogous, complimentary, etc). Kristen will also review famous works of art and their color lessons and afterward lead us in creating a small project to keep as a reminder in your studio. This class is applicable to all intermediate or advanced painters using an opaque medium (oil, acrylic, gouache). A variety of painting colors and supplies will be provided and included in your selected class fee (sliding scale $45-$65). Click HERE to register for Color Theory II
