We Did It!!

H.R.2584, the bill which would have hacked a further $10.6 million in funding for the National Endowment for the Arts from the FY 2012 Interior Appropriations bill was soundly defeated with a 240 – 181 vote yesterday, and Congressional District #2 Representative Greg Walden did his part to help! Good Man!

We sent Rep. Walden strong admonishments letting him know this was what we, as his constituents, wanted him to do, and we thank all who joined us in doing so. Won’t you join us now in sending him a nice thank you through the NEA’s “Advocate for the Arts” system?

NICE WORK EVERYONE! Thanks to all the arts advocates of the State of Oregon and across the country for working SO HARD for this victory! You ROCK!!
