2022 Angels Show Call to Artists

12 x 24 Acrylic on Canvas by Christina Munyon from the 2020 Angels Show

The holidays will be here soon, and this Angels Show 2022 Call to Artists announces that it’s time to start creating your angel art for this year’s show. Your angel art doesn’t have to be traditional or religious, though these are welcome, too. But what we love to see most are interpretations of angels that make people think as much as they appreciate their beauty. Show us your artistic interpretations of angels!

Art Presence Art Center hosts the Southern Oregon Artists Resource Angels Show as their December Guest Exhibit alongside their annual holiday show. If you are new to the Angels Show, you can learn more about it here: https://art-presence.org/exhibitions/calls-to-artists/

The Angels Show is juried, with a limit of 2 entries per artist and maximum size of 48″ in any direction. All angels must be your own original artwork—no giclées, please! All angel art must be for sale. 2D pieces must be wired and ready to hang and 3D pieces with a display base. Paintings can be gallery wrapped or professionally framed. Include a summary of the pieces you wish to submit with the title, dimensions, medium, an image (in-progress images for early entries are fine), and price. Images of completed works may be used to promote the show; permission to use images of your artwork is presumed when you enter your art. Angels must remain on display until the exhibition ends.

Friday, November 25–Sunday, November 27: Drop off angel art at the gallery during open hours (12–5 pm Friday–Sunday). Artists will be notified of the status of their art’s acceptance by December 1. Thursday, December 1: We hang the Angels Show.
Friday, December 2: Show opens at noon and continues on display until Sunday, January 1.

Saturday, December 3: Angels reception from 1–3 pm.
Friday, December 2–Sunday, December 4: Pick up works not accepted during the gallery’s open hours. Monday, January 2: Pick up any angels that have not sold.

Art Presence does not charge a fee for participating but will realize 35% of all sales.

While we handle your angels with utmost care, Art Presence is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to artwork.

Marketing: The gallery will film a virtual tour of the show. We will post the video on the Art Presence and Southern Oregon Artists Resource websites, YouTube channels, and social networks. You are welcome to share it from those sources to your own social networks and blogs. Help us sell your work! Promote the show and your entries on social networks and email newsletters.

Thank you for answering our Angels Show 2022 Call to Artists. Please download and print the Call to Artists document below. As you complete your angel art works, please send photos of them for us to use when promoting the show. We will make sure that all art used for promotion includes the artist’s name. Keep the top part of the document as a reminder of important dates and bring the form at the bottom when you bring your angel art to the gallery for jurying. On the back or on another sheet, please include a disposition summary listing the details (title, artist name, dimensions, medium, and price) of the art you are submitting and bring that, too. You can contact Anne Brooke with your questions.
