April Featured Exhibit
Third Juried Annual Artist Book Exhibit
April 6-29
In celebration of the art of the word and National Poetry Month, Illahe Studios and Gallery hosts our Third Annual Artist Book Exhibit! This year’s show continues the tradition with uniquely fresh and interesting artist books, many of which push the boundaries, or should we say “bindings” of what are typically considered books.
This year’s Call for Artists had a huge response, and we have chosen 28 regional and national book artists to show their diverse creativity expressed in this exhibit showcasing 42 books in varied media!
The following artists will be featured in April: Charlene Asato, Kaci Aslamov, Cathleen Casey, Cathy DeForest, Shoshanah Dubinier, Carolyn Dupont, Jaki Ernst, Rachel Fox, Colin Frazer, Alisa Golden, Elan Chardi Gombart, Mary Jane Henley, Michael Holstein, Olivia King, Diane Lea, Susan Lehman, Rochelle Newman, Sabina Nies, Linda Piacentini-Yaple, Lynn Prather, Sara Press, Olivia Ramos, Kelly Salber, Roxanne Stout, Judith Strom, Douglas Strong, Laurie Weiss, Judy Winograd.
Join us for an Artists’ Reception on First Friday, April 6th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Music will be provided by local guitarist, Stephen Kane. Wine and refreshments will be served.

First Annual Rogue Arts Plus Poetry RAPP
Community exhibit of artist/poetry books
April 6-29
In addition to our juried artist books, we will show a special community exhibit of Poetry Artist Books during the month of April. The First Annual Rogue Art Plus Poetry was brought to us by book artist and poet, Michael Holstein. Michael and fellow book artist, Sabina Nies, donated some lovely hand-bound blank books which we made available to the public for $3 each. We are excited to have this display of community talent along with our juried artist books!
