This exhibition is a culmination of RGAC’s annual project that brings local artists together with teens to nurture their artistic growth.  The Artist Teen Mentoring Project (ATMP)—now in its seventh year at the Rogue Gallery & Art Center (RGAC)—offers local teens, ages 16 to 18, a realistic look at the life of a professional artist. These aspiring artists have the opportunity to work with established artists to create art in a variety of materials and styles, including those seldom available to high school students. This exhibition, presented in RGAC’s prestigious Main Gallery, is the culmination of the project which displays creative work by both teens and artists. This year’s exhibition—made possible through sponsorship by Rogue Disposal and Recycling, and Lithia Motors—runs from March 30 through April

Earth Paints and Nature Inspired Art with Leah Mebane for ages 8-13

Saturday, March 17th from 10 AM – noon

“Go green” in the art studio for St. Patty’s Day and for the Earth and learn how to make earth paints from natural pigments and colored clay. Create your own brushes from plant stalks and use your new artist tools to create unique and natural art projects including eco-stationary with leaf and vegetable prints, glue batik designs with earth paints, and painting smooth river stones for your garden or home.
