About the author: My work is a contrast of abstract design with geometric order. I’m drawn to repeating images and tend to build those into my work, while at the same time, I like looser brushstrokes and flowing lines. To me, that feels similar to life. Just got home from the Art Presence Gallery opening in the Historic Jail in Jacksonville, OR. It was fantastic, what a great mix of artists and mediums. Catered by Bella Union, yum. I will admit, I think this is the first opening I’ve been to with my art. It is seriously interesting to watch people’s reactions to my art. I saw so many of my artist friends and had fun introducing my mom to everyone. The gallery, is open 10-4 over the weekend, then the exhibit goes down, so make sure you stop in if you’re around Jacksonville. I’ll be gallery sitting from 1 to 4 tomorrow.
